Handmade Custom Jewelry in the Berkshires
How does a web site collection like this come about? A craft is taken up, compliments received, and then offers to buy the pieces off the designer’s neck!
The designs seem to work with the simple clothing I favor, here in the Berkshires. Each design is a one of a kind, as I started out designing for myself, or for special gifts for friends. I wanted each piece to be at once simple, earthy and elegant, never cutesy. I only use sterling silver or gold-filled components. Anything else, such as copper or brass, is labeled as such. Beads, charms and pendants are semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystal, lamp worked or Czech glass and cubic zirconia. If something compelling in bone, shell, ribbon, resin, etc. came my way, I’d certainly use it and tell you!
